“The impossibility of dying”
(photo taken by me in Auckland, July 2025)
“I wanted to be able to die simply, comfortably, quickly. I wanted death to be in my power, to be able to invoke it, effortlessly and without paying any price, at any moment. All this would've been possible if death had been invented by someone more discerning, who wouldn't have built it up so much, but would've reduced it to a simple function. A third eye, a third temple, a heart on the right side, able to unilaterally disconnect useless bodies when the need arose. The impossibility of dying when I absolutely needed to was the greatest injustice I've ever suffered, and I've suffered many injustices. Beginning with being born to a woman who was a complete stranger.”
